No?
I do.
Seriously if someone gets their feewings hurt here comes a mod to swoop down and lock posts and edit them so no one has to see such ugly things.
And here I thought it was a bunch of adults who could decide for themselves what they wanted to read.
Asinine. All of it.
Re: Have I mentioned recently how much I hate the addition of mods?
Really? I kind of hate AEs who hide behind fake sn's just to be mean.

This. Sometimes I think a MOD is warranted but sometimes, it's a little over the top.

I find the idea of mods offensive and utterly undemocratic. The ability to speak essentially freely is much more important to me than protecting hurt e-feelings.

I think some mods jump in when they shouldn't and just make it worse. I've only ever moderated if someone has asked me to - like a few months ago when there was some AE who was being really, really hateful and rude or that one who kept posting the porn.
But I've seriously only moderated maybe 4 posts ever.
I don't hate the idea of mods. The other forum I'm on has mods, but they actually have power (to warn or ban posters) and their role is a lot more lax. General rule of thumb there is "don't be adiick" and/or "keep your sig small" and you won't have issues.
I have a huge problem with mods as defined by TK/TN/TB since they're nothing more than glorified stool pigeons with delusions of grandeur.
If the mods could stay off the power trip, they could be useful. Most of them think they are gods or something. Those are the ones who tend to give all the mods a bad name.
Power corrupts.

But didn't you know, the bump is like a city and the mods are our police! You violote TOS, you BREAK THE LAW! I mean, you wouldn't wan drunk drivers on the road, would you???
This makes me lol. I guess maybe bump mods are different? I don't know. We can't do sh!t over on the nest. Most of the time it won't let you edit your own posts let alone some crazy person's post. I have noticed that bump mods do tend to take things way too seriously. It's a freaking message board for crying out loud, lol. I think a lot of nest mods just gave up because we can't get any help from the nest gods to do anything productive.
Totally. Every city needs etsy link siggy police! duh!
lmao
