Re: experience with Women's Health First
One of my friends delivered with Anita Iyer (I'm about 99% positive) and the name Michael Eisnerberg is very familiar, and its not in a negative way.
And, on another note, I love NCH, they have a new labor/delivery/postpardum section, a year old. Suppose to be beautiful.
GL.
A friend recommended Eisenberg to me, I will/ am planning to make a meet the Doc trip soon. So we shall see what I come up with...
Thank you:)
I started my pregnancy with this practice and ended up leaving. Before getting pregnant, I asked about a VBAC and was assured that I was a good candidate. After I got pregnant, it was a different story. I saw Dr. Iyer and she was very negative about a VBAC. She told me that she had a c-section with her first child, so that it wasn't a question that she would have a section with her second baby because she would never put herself above her baby. This of course insinuates that I am some kind of bad mother for trying for a vbac. Also, she was very dismissive of mother-baby bonding after birth; she told me that she had her husband give her children bottles of formula after birth rather that hold them herself while she was recovering. At some other point during our conversation, she said that she didn't see the value of vaginal birth. If you want a highly medicalized birth, this might be the place for you. Otherwise, steer clear.
Also, they use a lot of physicians assistants at this office. I've seen two; one messed up my internal tests.
