So I have thrown in the towel on bfing and j seemed to spit up a lot with regular formula so I went an got some similac sensitive yesterday (or the target version) and he LOVES it! Honestly last night he started refusing to drink the bm I had pumped and then when offered the formula downed 4oz which is HUGE for him as he has only been doing maybe 3oz at a sitting. Do you think maybe he has had a lactose thing all this time and mean mommy was shoving all this bm down his throat? Just curious as to how you decided to make the switch? Also does costco carry the sensitive formula? Where are the best places to get it?
Re: similac sensitive questions!
We had the same thing happen with A. I asked our Dr. about having a lactose sensitivity but he didn't seem to think that A had one so I am not sure on that part. I was still trying to pump but my supply was so bad that we were using more formula and then once A started refusing BM bottles but sucking down the formula that basically decided our fate. Costco does carry the sensitive and they have had coupons for it and will also take the Similac checks. I usually try to find the best deal on it and then stock up. Target usually sells it for $21 where Safeway, Walgreens, and Rite-Aid all sell it for $23-24. Sign up for the Similac newsletter because they will usually tell you when the Similac coupons are going to be in the newspaper. HTH!
