I would suggest making sure that right before you pump you drink a couple glasses of water and then another glass once you're done. If I haven't had enough to drink, I can feel my heart start racing and I get a bit dizzy while I pump.

It always happens to me if I haven't eaten for awhile before I go pump. Try to have a snack... crackers, juice, some nuts....just so you have something in your stomach.

Yikes. I had just eaten a large bacon cheeseburger and fries about an hour before I pumped this time and had a 32 oz Nalgene over the course of the hour before as well and had the worst dizzy experience yet.
Today I have eaten a bowl of cereal with milk, a Chobani yogurt, and the burger/fries and had about 96 oz of water.

This is your first week, you'll adjust. My dizzy spells are much less frequent than they were a few weeks ago.
Now I want a bacon cheeseburger.

That's kind of crazy to me. I'd call my OB maybe if it keeps up? Or an LC? I don't know. I haven't had that at all. And yes, I want a burger now also.

Re: Dizzy after pumping?
Just make sure you eat and drink enough around the time you pump. This helped me when I was feeling lightheaded.
