Maternity clothing suggestions

I decided I finally need to break down and buy some maternity clothes. Any recommendations on where to shop and where not too? I will be looking on the eastside. I am also really interested in consignment stores for some good bargain deals, but will be going to regular stores too. Thanks!

Re: Maternity clothing suggestions

  • Target has cute maternity clothing. It is pretty hit or miss at each Target though. The Gap at U village used to have a large selection but not sure if they still do.

  • Old Navy (online) had most options for me (tall at 5'9")...definitely get a nice full panel jean skirt - soooo comfy!
  • Old navy has a lot of cute maternity right now, and they even have a groupon deal today $10 for a $20 gift certificate.

  • I bought most of mine at Motherhood and some plus size tops at Lane Bryant.  I'm not much help except to say that I looooooved (and still love) my Motherhood maternity jeans and dress pants.  I usually got them on sale $25-40.  I also wear my Motherhood t-shirts quite often.   I got those BOGO 50% off.

  • Old Navy and Craigslist were the only two places I bought my maternity clothes.

  • I was at Small Threads in Issaquah today and they have a pretty good maternity selection.
  • Being tall I had the hardest time with pants, Motherhood was the only place I found that had longs in the store...Old Navy and Gap have them but online only. Old Navy generally has the best prices.

And, the Bumps and Babies Fair is coming up in August and I'll be selling my maternity clothes there, and I'm sure other people will be too! Big Smile

  • I bought almost all non-maternity clothes at Ross, just a size or two bigger.  I had a couple belly bands and loose fitting jeans, and really only invested in a few nice maternity jeans and shirts.

  • I loved my old navy full panel jeans.  I ordered them online so I could get the short ones (I'm 5'2") I wore them them almost everyday!  I also loved my clothes from JC Penny's. The Duo brand.  I also got some tees from Motherhood on sale and loved them.  In the end I lived in my dresses, overalls, (Value Village) & skirts (Old Navy).

  • The Value Village in Redmond always had some finds; Ashleigh's Attic in Redmond also had some good deals but the store is a mess and you have to dig and spend time.

I loved Target, Old Navy online, and JC Penneys.  I always found stylish but affordable stuff at all the above places.  Penneys always shocked me - they had some major trend fails, but cute staples.

  • I got pretty much everything from Old Navy (mostly dresses and tops), Motherhood (mostly pants), and Kohl's (mostly tops).

And yes - the Bumps & Babies Fair in August will definitely have maternity clothes (as well as anything else you might want for baby!)  Big Smile

  • Old Navy for most staples (Factoria used to have a maternity section, not sure if they still do), Target for more staples :), Gap for a few pairs of nice work pants, and JC Penney when I was getting to 8 months pregnant and needed some new pants.... :(  But I actually really liked the 3 pairs that I got!

  • Burlington Coat Factory has a pretty good selection and almost everything is $10 and under.
