First response test negative this am...

A little background. We officially started TTC this month (last month we did not use condoms, but we did not time BD), and this is the first cycle I have actually been temping. I have a very regular cycle- 28 days. According to my temperatures, I ovulated on CD15. This morning marks 10 days post-O. Since I am 3 days before my expected period, I thought I would take the First response test (as it claims to detect as early as 6 days before). It was negative. Is there any hope that I could still possibly get a BFP.

I learned my lesson, from now on I will wait until I miss my period. The curiosity got to me.

    Began TTC #1 in January 2011
    Confirmation and Removal of Endo - March 2012
    +#1 on 4/1/12 - m/c @ ~8w 5d
    +#2 Tx cycle 4 - 5 mg Letrozole + 75iu Follsitim & Ovidrel w/ IUI on 11/13/12 - EDD 7/23/13 
    7 week u/s revealed THREE babies, all with heartbeats.  153bpm, 148bpm, and 136bpm
    9 week u/s revealed loss of Baby B.  A and C are growing on track.  A measuring 9w1d with 172bpm and C measuring 9w0d with 179 bpm.  
    Elective sex determination u/s on 2/8 revealed... boy AND girl!

    Welcome :) Yes there is definitely still a chance you just tested too eartly. There's is only about a 35% chance of testing positive on 10DPO even if you are pg. So I would wait a couple more days and test again. GL :)

    Yes, you could still be pregnant.  I would wait a few days and test again if AF doesn't show. I know the wait is hard but the longer you wait, the better the chance of getting an accurate result.

    FYI everyone, this may be what I think you call MUD? Or not, but at any rate here is a link to a previous thread where OP can "predict" her O date and tell you to "the hour" when AF will arrive. Just a heads up.... And if I am wrong I am wearing my big girl panties today :)

    Hi there! I'm new to this, too :) I took the same test as you at the "6 days before" mark and it was negative; the past two days I've felt incredibly sick after breakfast and my body keeps doing weird things that make me think I might be pregnant... I was gonna take one at the 2-days-before mark but after reading everyone saying "don't test early" I guess I'll try to wait ^_^ I'm glad I'm not the only one, and if you're anxious like me, then I'm sending you internet hugs :)

    Eh I don't think its MUD.  If it is, it's a poor attempt at it.  I just think she might not have believed the people who told her that testing early wasn't the best idea in the world....

    Yeah I don't think this is MUD. She says shes temping and tested at 10DPO, thats not uncommon. Sounds like a normal post to me!

    You are probably right, I just thought the whole 'predicting' her O and being able to time AF to the hour was a little odd.

    I don't think it's that abnormal to be able to expect AF after waking, and before noon on CD 28... Sorry for the miscommunication.
