  I don't think they ever go away.  But they fade, to the point you may only see them if you stretch your skin.

  Mine virtually disappeared but I am sure they will rear their ugly head again during this pregnancy.

  They fade, but come back with a fury if you ever get pregnant again!

  Thanks for asking this, I was wondering the same thing. Not that I'll be in a two piece anytime soon, but I'd still like to not have my belly look like freddy kruger had his way with it.

  Mine are gone!  I'm sure they're coming back though. 

  I didn't actually have stretch marks until after DD was born.  Boo!!!

  I was so proud of myself for not getting them while pregnant with DS until......the morning of my due date!! Ha!

  I have super light skin.  My stretchies were dark purple and on the underside of my belly.  They didn't show up until about 35w (delivered at 39w). 

  They totally disappeared about a month ago. Like, gone.  Not even just pale, though my skin is pale.  I investigated and there's nothing there that I can see.

  Ironically, just before they disappeared, I got comfortable with having them forever.
