I need some ideas for things to do in the summer in the south metro. I know there is the zoo, but we don't have a pass and probably won't get one til next summer, so I'm looking for something a little cheaper. Any ideas? TIA!

Re: Things To Do in South Metro
Many libraries offer baby story time... fun and educational (and free!)
Kelley Park in Apple Valley and Nicollet Commons Park in Burnsville have sprinklers to run through. Schultz Beach at Lebanon Hills Park. Caponi Art Park. Find a playgroup, or even just head to some local parks and introduce yourself to the other moms to start your own.
The $50 you'd spend on an individual membership to the MN Zoo, if you live nearby, will make up for itself in 3 visits and then you can go whenever you want. There is so much to do there that it is definitely worth the investment.
Do you have more info on this from somewhere? I LOVE this park and would love to take LO.
