I just smashed an avocado with mayo, garlic powder, salt and pepper, spread it on low carb bread with cheese, bacon and tomato...it was so summery and delicious! What are your no-cook, quickie dinners?
That really does sound yummy! I am no good at quick dinners that are good for GD diet haha. Tonight I was a bad GD patient and ordered long john silvers for dinner. I am still very guilty over this because at the 2 hr mark I was still 20 points over what I should have been!! But by 3 1/2 hrs we were back to normal.
Just found out that I am GD and worried about it. For example I cannot eat meat without bread not even stake so it will be hard. That sandwich does sound good. Could you share what low carb bread you eat? Is it whole wheat or have whole grains in it? Thanks.
I am in the same boat. I taste tested a few and I prefer Arnold's Whole Wheat Sandwich thins @ 22g. Sarah Lee's are less carb at 19, but I thougt they were sweet. Also look at the bagel thins, I haven't tried them yet. I also do thomas english miffins whole wheat but they are pretty gross unless toasted and slathered with something.
