Started doing research on the strollers that have the 2nd seat option and have narrowed it down to these 3.
Any reviews on the above would be most appreciated!
I know there is someone on this board that has a friend that actually has a blog where she reviews strollers....but I can't remember which bumpie it is.
Re: F/U to stroller post below: Britax B Ready, City Select or P&T Explorer?
We started out with a BOB and then found out we were pregnant again. I did not want a double wide stroller so we started checking them out. We ended up purchasing the Phil and Teds Explorer with a double kit. Baby #2 will be here in October so we are currently using it as a single stroller. We live in the country and have no problem maneuvering it. It is easy to fold up and put in the car as well.
What also like about it is that we are using it as a single now and can use it later as a single again (plus it's not a double wide). They also have good resale value. Hope this helps.
We have the BJ City Select and love it. With the seat closer to the handle being up higher DH wasn't "kicking" the child in the back. Also none of our kids wanted to be in the seat where they couldn't look out, and I really like having access to the basket when both kids are seated.
The stroller that is right for you probably depends on how you are going to use it. We use ours mostly for malls and paved outdoor places, we also have a BJ City Elite for "off roading" but that is strictly a side by side double stroller.
I think I am the person you are talking about. My friend has the blog: https://thestrollergirl.com/
My review of the BJCS is there. There is also a review of the P&T.
I love my BJCS! Good luck with your choice!

No more TTC for us. We are done, and at peace, as a family of 4.

We love our BJCS. My favorite part is the versatility. You can face them both in both directions and it's super easy to do. We are currently using the carseat adapter for DD with my niece in the other seat. I love it.
Is there a store that carries them where you can try them out? We were between a few and had to search for a store that actually had them in, but it was worth it to feel them out.
Life with Blog
I have both a CS and a PT and I am a PT fan (we are selling the CS). Here's the response I posted to the most recent double stroller question asking about the CS:

Yes - we are selling ours.
We did a CRAP LOAD of research before settling on it, and I am so annoyed that I didn't realize the drawbacks that would be a deal breaker for me.
First, some background: I live in the middle of a huge city with a great public transportation system, and I walk or take metro/trolley everywhere. The system isn't very handicap/stroller friendly, so I have to get the stroller up and down the stairs a lot. Also, I needed a tandem stroller to be able to navigate these systems. While researching, I was stuck between the CS and the P&T. I ultimately chose the CS because the configuration meant that DH and I wouldn't be hitting the back of the jumpseat with our knees while walking (we're tall). Also, I liked the fact that we could use the basket on the CS while both kids were in the stroller.
However, the fact that the extra seat on the CS is in the front, makes the stroller a bit difficult to maneuver. It's easier if the lighter kid is in front, but right now there is only a 5-lb difference between my girls. Anyway, having that seat in front makes it hard to "pop a wheelie", which I have to do to get the stroller down the stairs. It also makes the stroller a little bit unwieldy to steer - I take hour+-long walks around town several times a week and by the end, my wrists hurt from steering.
Also, the CS is not nearly as configurable as they advertise. Yes, you can put the seats in 16 different configurations, but once you have two kids in them, the adjustability changes quite a bit. Because of my older DD's preference (riding facing forward), the only way I could really have both of them in the stroller was both forward-facing. But I couldn't really recline the baby much if she was in front (to make it easier to steer) without smushing DD1's knees. So they both had to be basically entirely upright facing forward. If I turned the baby around, I could recline her, but then I had to adjust DD1's footrest to be parallel to the ground, or she'd smush the baby's legs.
These issues might not be a big deal - but they are something to think about if one of the selling points of the CS for you is all the configurations.
Finally, the seats are not very tall. DD1 is tall for her age - 33.5 inches at 20 months - with a slightly long torso - and when I put the sun canopy up, it grazes the top of her head. I think she'd outgrow the seat before she outgrows strollers. I was hoping they would fix this issue on the 2011 seats, but they did not.
So we bought a P&T Explorer, which I've now been using for about two months. It is super easy to get around town with. Both babies enjoy sitting in the back seat (which I was also worried about). I can get up and down stairs with no problems. It is easy to maneuver. And i bought a backpack to use as a diaper bag, which solves my no-basket issue.
And now I have this huge clunk CS with a million accessories to sell. I'm so annoyed that I made the wrong decision!
I haven't read the responses here but I bet everyone else said they loved it. I think, if I didn't walk everywhere, and didn't live in a non-handicapped-accessible city, I'd probably like it more. But it didn't fit our needs.<a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y161/putalittlepolkainyourdot/?action=view
