2 month appt.

My little girl has her appt tomorrow. I'm starting to get nervous and teary eyed about her shots. I'm used to her crying - my lo is pretty demanding. It's not like I let her cry forever but she'll cry, pretty loudly and intensely, when she wants to eat. So it's not like I never hear her cry. I just feel bad for her about tomorrow- not knowing what's coming.

Today she was such a happy smiley baby which doesn't happen often. She has her good days and bad days. I'm already anticipating tomorrow being a bad day.

  • Don't worry! My DS was a champ! He cried for 3 seconds then slept the day away. He still STTN and still was as smiley as ever when he was awake. He didn't get a fever either. It just seemed his leg was a little sore when I would change him but he was so good!
Baby, you've got the sort of eyes that tell me tales...

  • It'll be fine!  My son cried when he got the shots for a couple seconds and that was that.  The nurse was super fast and she was done before he even got going.  As soon as she put bandaids on his legs, we cuddled him, dressed him and gave him a bottle.  He was perfect after that.  Oh, one of the vaccines is oral, so if possible try to time baby's feeding for right after the appt so she'll take it okay and for the comfort factor after the injection part.

    Good luck!  It'll be okay.

TTC since May 2006. After 3 failed Clomid cycles, 2 failed Injectibles/IUIs, 2 failed IVFs and 1 failed FET, we moved on to adoption!

Last ditch FET resulted in BFP, and identical twin girls!

  • Dd did great.  She got really mad at first, which helped (me) that it was mad face, not sad face.  She was asleep within 5 minutes.  Later in the day, her little thighs were warm, and she was a little fussy, so we gave her tylenol, which she liked.  She acted normal the rest of the night.
