on LO, which brand did you use? I read that post on TB about the sunBLOCK not sunSCREEN, and I was just curious as to which ones people have used already and if there were any suggestions.
Thanks!

I used the neutragena baby sunblock. It's SPF 60 and says to consult your pedi before 6 months and all he said was that it's fine just make sure he gets a good bath after

Regardless of what you choose, READ THE ACTIVE INGREDIENTS. I bought a "sunblock" that was labeled SUNBLOCK and on the back after the active ingredients it says SUNSCREEN. I am PISSED. I am even more pissed that the nurse at my Pedi's office said it was okay to use because I read off "Sunblock".
I bought Aveeno baby "sunblock", I have since sent a nasty letter to Aveeno about the misrepresentation of their product and how harmful/ dangerous it is to infants and unsuspecting new moms.

Neutrogena Pure and Free Baby. (sunBLOCK). Pedi says I'd better use it if he's out in direct sunlight.

Wow that's awful! I can't believe they mislabeled that. I would have sent a letter too.

I used Banana Boat Kids Tear Free Sun Block SPF 50 and it worked great. I pretty much gave Zoe a bath in it and she stayed in the pool/outside for 30 mins and when she came inside she was not red at all. I like that it didnt make her cry when I put some on her face. Because I have gotten sun block in my eyes before and it hurts.
We bought 2 and are trying them both - Heiko Kids SPF 40 and Badger Baby SPF 30... If you aren't sure about a sunscreen, check out Environmental Working Group's 2011 website - they break down some of those foreign sounding names and ingredients and spell out for you what you're really slathering on your LO!!!
I know my sunblock is Neutrogena baby. Is there only one? I forgot it at my mom's today, so I am can't go look at it to be sure if it is safe.
There's only one Neutrogena Baby.
Also CVS has a version that has the same ingredients as Neutrogena for a few dollars cheaper. We use those and the face sticks too by CVS and Neutrogena..

We are using Green Beaver SPF 30. Its labeled as a sunscreen but is a sunblock. I wish we had the options that you guys in the US have. My bottle of sunblock was $25 but my baby's skin is worth it:)

The first 3 active ingredients on that product are chemical blockers and are not safe for babies. Look at this post: https://community.thebump.com/cs/ks/forums/1/35113032/ShowThread.aspx
Oh good. Thanks!
