My husband said the cutest thing today.
A little background: When I met my husband, he was firmly in the Childfree by choice for life camp. We got married without any plans of having kids. He has 9 nieces and nephews, and his brothers would always tease him about how awkward he was holding a baby etc..
We're married almost 8 years now, and made the decision to TTC a couple of years ago. Needless to say, when we announced our pregnancy, people were pretty surprised.
ANYWAY, we were having dinner with my ILs tonight, and MIL was commenting on how his brothers (2 of whom haven't met the baby yet because they live out of state) are going to get such a kick out of how good he is with our DD and how smitten he is with her. MIL commented on how before now he was so uncomfortable around babies and how he's so good with ours.
Then he says, as he's holding Nora, "I was just waiting for the right baby to come along."
::Swoon::

How's your thumb?
Sore, but I've got good pain meds, so I guess it could be worse? Thanks for asking.
