selfish vent...

Right now I'm working from 11 to 5 everyday... Well this week I decided that instead of staying in bed longer in the morning I would go on walks with Lily... this way we have bonding time, and hopefully take off some of the baby weight... Well this morning I tell my mom whom we are currently living with (trying to pay off student loans) and she says she wants to join us... My moms joints are bad, but she knows she has to stay active... Now here's were I was being a brat... My mom walks slow so she was like oh just walk ahead of US (as in she is pushing Lily)... she likes to push the stroller for extra support... Which means that even though I get to go on my walk, I dont get that time with Lily... :(   Ok, my pity party is over

    Does your mom watch Lily during the day? I don't think you're being selfish. You want time for the two of you. There's no shame in that!! Could you compromise and go with your mom every other day? Then you're mom gets out but you still have time set aside.

    I dont think thats selfish. Tell her the truth, that you want to go on walks with just you and your LO for the bonding time. Maybe she can take LO out later so they can have grandma and baby time.

    Your not being selfish you want to have time to bond with your lo. Just explain to your mom. Mabey the three of you could go for a evning walk when you get home? Or on your days off? I doubt your mom will think its selfish.
