strollers

I am trying to buy a double travel system stroller, but I am finding it hard to find and if I do find it it is expensive (659.00). Do any of you have any suggestions? please help..

Thanks in advance, Christi

Re: strollers

  • Which one are you looking at?

What are your needs and how much do you want to spend?

  • I was looking at the chicco fuego twins travel. It is 659.00.. I know i do not want to spent that much. I also do not want to do a double snap and go with carseats... I like Graco..
  • We are going with the Baby Trend Navigator Double Jogger Stroller because we can put in infant carseats (though it doesn't come with them) or put them directly into the stroller. I don't plan on using it as a jogger, but it was lighter weight and side by side which is what I want. Plus the price at Baby R Us is $229.99

  • Why do you not want a DSNG?

  • We believe its just more money you have to spend, because eventually you are going to have to get a double stroller.. So we had rather buy it all now and not wory about it later. And my husband think the DSNG look cheap and unstable.

I assume this price includes the two infant carseats, so that's not really that expensive.  The seats make up nearly $400 of the price, as the stroller itself is a couple hundred.  Graco also makes double strollers that are compatible with two infant carseats, which you could find for slightly less as their carseats and strollers are a bit cheaper, but not that much.  This combo would be ~$500...

I thought the DSNG would be unstable, from the looks of it, but really that little contraption is a workhorse! It is much sturdier than it looks. If you buy it used it's not that much more money to have to spend, and well worth it, IMO.
