DS has been STTN for just about four weeks now so I don't want to mess with a good thing, but I'm wondering....does your LO sleep with any kind of light at night? DS sleeps in the total dark- he has a humidifier running, a white noise machine and a small oscillating fan- totally content. But I've read recently that they can wake up startled due to the darkness...just curious WYD.
Re: night light?
We have no nightlight. The only thing on in his bedroom is his fan and his humidifier since he has a sinus infection and is stuffed up. Any small amount of light makes DS stir/not be able to fall back asleep on his own if he wakes up so I don't know that I want to mess around with a night light.
We just have the little light on the monitor, but it's hidden behind a picture frame, so it barely makes any light in there.
I'd say ~ if it's working they way you've got it now, don't change it!
We have a twilight turtle that projects stars on the ceiling. It shuts off after an hour or so, but we press a button to turn it back on if we want to check in on DS. He likes to stare at the stars sometimes, too.
This. We have a pink flower wall light from Ikea. It's dim enough for her to sleep, but light enough to not need to turn on any real lights.
We have this too, only ours is a ladybug - it's the coolest! But more often we use the monitor base.
