This is copied and pasted from an e-mail I got from MIL today...

 We had a 4-hour power failure yesterday morning so I cleaned 2 closets.  Lots of stuff of Sean?s.  When he comes this summer I hope to have him go through the stuff and decide what he wants to keep.   But nostalgia ? his old hockey jacket.  I did throw out the box of notes from girls in high school!!!!  You DON?T want to read them.  Oh, my goodness, very nearly porno!!!!  I didn?t read many, but it would have made quite a book.

REALLY??? Is it really necessary to tell his pregnant wife this? So annoying!

    Awesome MIL! Confused It would have been funny to say "Well, I see you didn't get to any of my notes to him, because you know what they say...a picture is worth a 1000 words." But I guess that would have been putting a toe over line, huh? Big Smile

    LOL, yes the porno comment was so out of line.  She does not have any sort of filter so I have endured many comments like this during our relationship.  She is just ridiculous.

    Poru- I am sure you are right, I guess I didn't really think about how gross it would have been for her to find them.  I am sure she didn't mean to be as nasty as it came off. 

    I'm sure all of our precious little ones will never write pornographic notes in high school!!

    I think there is a bit difference between someone not having a filter, and someone being intentionally hurtful.  Sounds like she wasn't trying to be hurtful, just, like you said, no filter.

    I would also want to get my hands on the notes and make fun of DH.

    I think it is funny! That seems so typical for a teenage/highschool boy and I really think like pp said, she was just commiserating with you.  I wouldn't be offended that she told you.  He is married to you now.  The past is the past, and it could have been a lot worse!  At least they were notes and not homemade movies or something crazy! It is probably hard, but I would just try to have a sense of humor about it.

    lol that is kind of funny but if I were you I would have forward that to DH just just one word "Really??" I think he would be more pissed off at MIL than I would be after he found out not only for sending me stuff like that but for reading his stuff.

    Haha, I would have laughed!  Clearly no filter as that was quite descriptive and could have been excluded, but you bet I would be teasing DH about them!

    She probably thought you'd understand how she felt when she found them and meant no harm.

    I did this! He was so furious when he found out she did that!!! It is so funny that he is having such a strong reaction but I am sure he is just embarassed. I have been calling him "the pornographer" all night and loving it!
