LO Fussy while sleeping...

Does your LO fuss in their sleep?  My DS is a very loud sleeper and keeps me awake at night.  I am always thinking that he has woken up and needs something. But when I get out of bed and go check on him he is sounds sleep and just being noisy.  Sometimes he does wake up but only long enough for me to pick him up and hold him for a minute.  If your LO is a fussy sleeper what do you do to help you sleep better?  How do you know to go check on them?  And is it okay to leave them fussing in the crib for a minute to see if they will put themself back to sleep?

    Eliana sleeps right next to our bed and she is a bit fussy some nights.  Usually if I loosen up her swaddle and let her hands out she can soothe herself back to sleep.

    DS sleeps beside our bed as well. But on DH's side, so I end up getting up and going around the bed to check on him of DH doesn't wake up.  DS doesn't like having his arms swaddled and likes to suck on his hands in his sleep.  Sometimes I give him a paci which helps, but he spits it out every 5 minutes.

    During the day practice his sucking by teasing the paci. When it's in his mouth pull on it so he can suck it back. That's how you can get him to keep it in until he is passed out. Also we have a calming music channel on our tv, we turn that on and it drowns out the quiet whimpers and sighs LO makes. When she wakes she cries.

    i think it would be okay to let him fuss for a minute to see if he falls back to sleep.  just so long as he isnt really crying and it isnt for a long period of time.  no sense in waking him up if he is about to fall back to sleep any way

    Westin fussed like crazy in the begining, keepin me up all night as well.  I would constantly check on him, grab him, rock him, nothing helped.

    We visited the Dr. who had us switch his formula to a gentle one (enfamil gentleease).  After 24 hours on the formula he started sleeping 5 hours at a time.  turns out his tummy was upset and he needed something easier on him.

    I agree - I sleep in his room, but I don't jump up at every noise. If he's still fussing after 30 seconds or a minute, I get up. He will even cry in his sleep! Usually just once, and then he's out again.

    I also use his white noise machine to drown out the little snorts and whimpers.
