Duke is my furbaby who is very spoiled. He is a Westie with a fun loving personality, and has become VERY protective of the baby. Well, the poop little guy ate something that gave him horrible gas. Last night he woke us (and himself) up with his loud farts. (He is 17 lbs, so we aren't really sure how his digestive system makes those noises!)
Well, the poop little guy's stomach is apparently still bothering him, and he is farting loudly every 3-5 seconds. He is SO embarrassed, and is pouting all over the living room. I don't know what to do to help him!
Any funny things going on with your furbabies? How are they taking your pregnancy?

Re: Oh Duke, this may be a long day for you...
Aw poor puppy, that is funny that he seems embarrassed by it. I wonder if they have doggie bean-o or gas-X?
I hope everything is ok!
I should probably ask the vet. This seems to happen to him once very few months, and it can't be comfortable. The worst part is that he wants to cuddle, but it too uncomfortable to sit with me an let me pet him.
I hope he's okay but that made me laugh that he's embarrassed by his farting!
We just spent 1300.00 on my sassy lab, Daisy, who thought it would be a swell idea to reach up and grab the (closed) raisin container off the counter while I left the house for some short errands. Raisins and grapes can be toxic to dogs- even just a few. Well, I came home and the container was shredded and she had eaten every last raisin inside. There were about 3-4 cups of raisins left in it! So, I had to make her vomit with syringes full of hydrogen peroxide, then wake up DS and drive over an hour to the nearest 24 hour animal hospital where she stayed for 2 full days getting fluids and medication.
FUN. (she is now fine and back to her normal, loveable self) Needless to say, we are 100% "daisy-proofing" the house before we go anywhere- even to go grab the mail! As far as me being pregnant, I don't think they can tell yet.

Oh no, poor Daisy! For months, DH would feed Duke raisins when he was eating them, until I found out they were bad for dogs. We took him to the vet in a panic (he had had one that day), and our vet laughed so hard at us. Now we check every time we give him anything that isn't dog food...as we should have done from the beginning. Thankfully he is fine, but we sure learned our lesson!
