today, i think the BILLIONTH person acted shocked when i said i wasn't due until late august. yes, i KNOW i still have 3 months to go. yes, i KNOW my belly is freakishly HUGE for almost 28 weeks!!!!

normally people's comments don't really bug me, but geez, give me a break here people!!!! i'm a huge, swollen, sweltering, hormonal mess. leave me alone!

OMG-I am SOOOO there with you! I'm not even half way and people have asked that question...when are you due? How long to go? Blahhhhhh. Because the response back is always, "Wow, you're big"! People are so ridiculous sometimes! I have to be honest with you, sometimes I just lie. I told DH to just "take it and roll with what I say" and he's GREAT at it! Now, I only lie if it's a complete stranger (they have no business knowing my business anyway so I don't give a hoot). I will put myself 4 weeks ahead of my DD just to NOT have to deal with the comments. I know many might not agree with that, but to me, I would rather tell a white-lie than have my feelings hurt AGAIN by someone I don't even know. OK, I ranted there too!!! LOL!!! Here's to camaraderie and big bellies!!!

I was bigger before I was pregnant and while I have not gained alot of weight at all and some people think I actually look thinner from behind, most people say OMG!!! when they find out I am due Aug 14th. I also get the twin question alot. It drives me crazy and I don't think people realize how it actually sounds to a pregnant woman. When people say that I hear in my head " OMG you are so fat you must be doing something wrong and not being a good mother" which I am sure they don't mean but in my hormonal state,that is what I hear. One thing I have found is if I say I have 11 weeks left, people don't seem so shocked, for some reason 'August" makes them think I have a ton of time left.

i am going to try your strategy of _____ weeks left. hopefully it will diminish some of their shock!

I would hear the opposite. "Wow, I would have never guessed. You're stomach is so small". Angry No, it's just fine. My comeback would be, well the baby is only but so big at this stage.

I hate that. I am not even that big at 20 weeks, I have seen WAY bigger (was not twins).

I pointedly look at their bellies and ask "You would know from personal experience"

God I hate that. When I was pregnant with my fourth I got that all the time. Finally I told one person that this is my fourth and then my due date. Still got the "Wow you're huge" I usually came back with "Thanks I hope you don't say things like that to your wife. Or maybe you do and that's why you're not married. Oops that was to be her secret." Let him worry. What worse is the women, I never had a comeback.

For my last pregnancy, my answer was "Actually, I am riddled with tumors." That shut 'em up. Of course, I was, I had some honker fibroids, but no one needs to know whether it's true or not.
