I feel like a terrible mom today. G had a really rough weekend, actually a really rough last week or so. I thought he was on a nursing strike again since he was behaving very similarly. He had me totally stressed out because he was refusing to nurse, screaming etc. But, he was pooping and peeing as usual. I knew we had his 6 month appt today so I was hoping to get some help/suggestions. Well, it turns out that he is sick. His poor little throat was all raw and he had a low grade fever. He had felt normal to me and I just had no idea. The ped is culturing him for strep (the quick culture was negative but she's doing the extended since he has several symptoms). I just can't believe that I didn't know he was sick. Besides the nursing issues he seemed so normal. We also had a very chaotic weekend and his routine was totally off so I assumed some of his fussiness was due to that. Ack!!
