Some of you may remember my "Today I planted arugula" post from last week.

I planted the seeds on Thursday afternoon.  Just 2 days later, they had already sprouted this much!!!

Today they are growing big and strong!

It's so nice that there is such instant gratification!  I couldn't believe it took just two days to sprout.  I literally squealed on Saturday morning when I saw the little leaves were just peaking through the dirt.  That first photo was taken Saturday late afternoon...that's how much they had grown in just 5-6 hours!  Freaky, right?

Should be having a lovely arugula salad some time in the next 2 weeks I imagine.

    That is amazing! I'm going to try and track down some seeds tonight. I am having arugula salad tonight - yum!

    So cool!  I thought about you, I was watching some chef on the today show and he said arugula is so easy to grow and delicious!  I will have to try it next year!

    That's so great. Arugula is awesome. Healthy and delicious. We have arugula salad with shaved parmesan and balsamic vinegar all the time.

    Now we want to plant basil, rosemary, and other herbs too!  It's strangely addicting, right?  I said to DH that the arugula was like a Chia Pet it grew so fast!  Basil is one of my favorite herbs ever, so I think that'll be next for sure.  We don't have tons of direct sunlight, so I'm not sure if my windowsill will be conducive to other herbs.  We'll see!

    Rosemary is really hearty and will grow like a weed. It's a very sturdy plant.

    Mint also grows with very little attention.

    I just picked up seeds at Crate & Barrel plus the cute little planters for $15.  The seeds were .50cents each and the planters were $4.95.  Basil, Rosemary, and Thyme.   I'm so excited about them!

    Cool!  I'm totes getting Mint too now!  I love mint!  I use exclamation points a lot!!
