I'd be a SAHM if I could. Right now I work part time, I'm hoping to be able to quit in a few years. We're playing it by ear.

We'll start trying for number 2 in five years. I'm a SAHM until R goes to kindergarten, but may be indefinetly. We'll see.

I plan to continue working full time. Depending on the cost of child care DH may stay at home or go to part time.

I'm a SAHM already and would probably be for a while after FC are born.

I have a couple of job possibilities that I could choose from if finances got to the point where we needed two incomes. I'd love to stay a SAHM and be able to home school!

I SAH now but hope to find something part time in the fall just for a break from DD and some adult interaction. I know a lot of people think its nuts but I struggle being a SAHM and am dying for some interaction. I would continue working PT with subsequent children.

I worked PT from home when I had #1...and now I'm pretty much 100% SAHM (picking up occasional work here and there).

The cost of Day Care (in Boston and now in DC) was a huge factor in our decision.

I plan to be home at least until J starts Preschool, then I might go back part time or go back to school.

Not sure... it depends on what job situation DH is in when #2 comes along. Childcare costs for two kids would equal almost my entire salary but I have the better, more stable job and DH doesn't want to be a SAHD so I don't want to give up my job until he's somewhere more long-term.

Me too. Though I may be going back to work FT soon. Who knows.

I never thought I would want to be a SAHM, but after having DD I didn't want to go back to work! I work FT now, but my goal is to be in a better place and quit my job when #2 comes along. We can't possibly afford daycare for 2 kids. We're saving for a house now, so after we buy the house I want to start TTC #2.

We are eventually going to have #2... although at this point I'm seriously scared of actually getting another kidlet.

I currently SAH. I will continue to stay home until both kids are in school and then I'll probably only go back part time. I'm lucky enough that I could stay home even longer if I choose to... we'll see how it all feels then.
