Hi Ladies! I hope that you allow me to join you!! We are expecting 2 little girls in October & I have been lurking on here since we found out.

Did you gain the most of your weight at the beginning or the end of your pregnany?

Clearly my Dr. has not read Dr. Luke's book since he only wants me to gain 25-30lbs total (which I think is unheard of) & I keep reading conflicting information about when you gain the most weight. Im right around 16lbs at 19 weeks.

We have twin girls due in October as well

! I can say that right now I have gained 8 pounds and was told I would probably really start to pick up weight in the next half of the pregnancy.

I started gaining quickly in the beginning of the third trimester (in the 6th or 7th month I gained 10). I delivered at 38 weeks and had gained a total of 55 pounds.

From about week 15 on, my weight gain was pretty steady. I gained a total of 58 by 38w.

My OB suggested 35-45 pounds (I gained 48). I lost weight at the beginning (until 17w) so I gained all of mine the 2nd 1/2 of the pg.

hi hep

i am up about 22-ish pounds by now! i saw my doctor last week, and he didn't say a thing about my weight gain other than he was glad i am gaining.

i think you sound right about on track with your gain!

I gained a lot (80). 40 lbs 1st and 2nd trimester, then severe fluid gain in 3rd due to pre-eclampsia. Glad I gained the 40 in the beginning cuz I couldn't eat much towards the end.

i gained the most weight in the beginning - i was up 20 pounds by 20 weeks. but i also was very small to start off with so i gained some weight in my hips right away.

it tapered off after that, i think ended up gaining around 35. honestly, after the first 20, i stopped looking at the scale. i didnt want to get caught up in the numbers, so i just ate often and ate healthy. if you do that, your body will do what it needs to do.
