I still can't get rid of the last 5-7 pounds. I sucked it up and did South Beach for a few weeks and I was 2 pounds away from my pre-pg weight but I couldn't stay on it and I gained that weight back. Did keeping track of your calorie intake on Sparkpeople help anyone? Do you go by the calorie range they give you? Any help is much appreciated!
Re: Did Sparkpeople work for you?
I signed up right before i found out i was PG again. So I don't know if it would have worked or not.
I did find though, for the few days that i did it that it was very helpful. I had no idea how many calories i was actually eating. I thought i was eating a decent breakfast, and i had no idea i was eating so badly!
When i would run late in the morning, i'd go to dunkin donuts and get a multi grain bagel with low fat veggie cream cheese. Holy calories! I was using 1/4 of my daily calories just on breakfast alone. So if anything, it made me aware of my choices.
it worked for me. I just input what I ate and watch where the calories were going...once I figured out where my downfall was I was able to plan my meals much better. I did go by what they suggested with the calories but I went even lower because I never really excercised and the weight wasnt coming off.
It isnt just the amount of calorie but where you are getting your calories from....fat, carbs & protein. I ate more protein than what was suggested and a bit less carbs.
I lost about 15 pounds before I got pregnant tracking on there. I stuck with whatever ranges they recommended and it worked great. I wish I could get motivated and stick to it now because this last 10-ish pounds is killing me....
