this heat is killing me!!

it is 89 right now and even though i have the house at a nice cool 72 my feet and legs are so swollen.

good thing all i had to do was go to the drs today and my legs are ridiculous.

    I'm with you.  The AC is all f*cked up at the moment.  DH is working on it but the amount of water he's vacuuming out of it does not inspire much faith.

    I'm with you 100%. It's 86 with a humidity index putting us to 106 here today.

    I'm inside, in an air conditioned office, but my feet still look like the stay-puft marshmallow man from Ghostbusters.

    Yep its the same here...and HUMID. And I am not used to being cautious about the heat...its never bothered me before. I went to the park with my sister and niece last weekend and we had to leave because I was so hot I got lightheaded and nauseous (and that was drinking ice water nonstop!)

    It had been around 60 degrees here for so long until yesterday and today.  I keep putting the air conditioning on and when I walk out of the room DH turns it off!  He doesn't get that I run at least 10 degrees warmer than he does.

    Ugh I hear you- we are actually under a heat advisory today until 8 PM.  I think the high was somewhere between 95 and 100 and it's just miserable.  It's my last day working and all I can think is thank goodness I don't have to leave the A/C house for the rest of the week if I don't want to.

    It got up to 97 today in Statesville, NC.  So stinking hot.  The car thermometer read 103 when I got in my car!!  I usually walk over to the hospital for lunch because I work in another building.  Today I drove my car because it was so stinking HOT!!  Not fun!!
