My Memorial Day Baby!

Emmalyn Christine H. born May 30,2011. She weighed 7 lbs 4 oz and is 18.5 inches long. After 25 hours in labor and stalling at 8 cm for 6 hours I needed a c-section. It was a horrible labor and delivery experience. The epidural failed 2 hours after getting it and finally got an upped dose an hour before surgery. I felt the c-section and cried for hours after. She has a beautiful latch and nurses like a champ! Also has a FULL head of blonde hair. She slept through the night only waking to eat every 2 hours for 30 min and is up looking around and cuddling during the day! Luckily I never needed the induction. Oh one more thing, she was stuck sunny side up so thats why I never progressed any further! When I am out of the hospital I will have to write a full story, but I am exausted and in lots of pain. You and I had almost the exact same birth stories - sunny-side-up babies and all!...I'm sorry you had to go through such an ordeal and truly feel your pain. Here's wishing you a speedy recovery from your c-section. I'm 9 days out and I feel great!
