s/o PP bleeding...

This is a silly question: Do you still get the heavy PP bleeding if you have a Cesarean?

Yes, it isn't as much as if you have a vaginal delivery, but you will still bleed alot.

Yes. Your uterus will still have to contract back to normal size, and shed its' lining. Make sure you have pads at the ready for when you get home.

  • My friend had a c-section and said it was very heavy after..her theory was that with a vaginal birth you push a lot of the blood out, so that's why she though hers was heavier after a c section..

I read in a book that once your placenta is remove its kind of like ripping off a scab. There's a big open wound in your uterus that needs to heal as well as shed the lining .. as the uterus contracts the wound slowly gets smaller and heals etc etc.. so yes.. vag or csection..you get the fun bleeding
