December 2011 Moms

"You'll feel so much better in 2nd Tri!" Um, ya, I call BS!!

Everyone keeps telling me how the 2nd trimester is so much better than 1st tri, and how the morning sickness will finally start going away. Well, I started out my day by puking up my breakfast- good times!! :( I swear, I think it's gotten worse in the past week- what the hell?!! I am so ready for a break from the m/s all the time!

  • Sorry. :( I was puking until 18 weeks last time. Some girls never stop feeling nauseous.

Have you tried chiropractic care or a hazelwood necklace?

I've been on the B6/Unisom combo, which seemed like it was helping, but I still feel nasty. Have you seem a big difference with chiropractic care?

  • Yeah, I had that with DD. 6w-12w didn't vomit once, 12w-16w vomited at least once a day, usually more. It did finally end, I hope it does for you too soon.

Actually, it pretty much cured my nausea this time around. I'm kicking myself for not doing it last time. My chiro specializes in family care, which includes pregnancy and children. DD and I get adjusted once every two weeks-ish. I've seen a huge change in her sleeping habits and in myself as well. For the nausea, he adjusted my back molar with this little machine that makes a "tap tap" motion. It sounds so crazy, I know. I wouldn't believe it if I hadn't experienced it! The human body is an amazing, connected thing.

  • I breezed through my 1st tri with no symptoms to speak of.  2nd tri started with migraines and now morning sickness.  I'm really, really miserable.   :(

Oh ya- the horrible headaches started at 12 weeks on the dot. Unfortunately I have had morning sickness since week 5...I was really hoping that it would be gone by now! :(

  • Yeah that's BS.  With #1 I didn't get sick until the 2nd tri and while it was only a few times, my headaches were much worse in the 2nd tri.  They did go away by 3rd tri though!

GL!  Just keep thinking that's its all worth it :)

  • I hear ya.  M/S began at 7 weeks....started going away around 10 weeks, and then came back with a vengeance at 12 weeks and doesn't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon.

My doc said it'll probably be another month before I start feeling better.

  • Ya, my dr told me the same thing at my appt last Wednesday. I think she was just trying to make me feel better, haha. I'm just taking it a day at a time, and trying to stay positive!
