Awesome weather here in MN - reached 87 yesterday! Seeing extended relatives on Sunday for a couple of my cousin's kids (& having aunts oogle over my baby bump...hehe), and visiting my Grandma yesterday morning & having her laugh at the ultrasound image showing "it's a boy." The weekend was capped off by a wonderful "dating anniversary" (9 years!) grilled dinner last night with DH!
Shopping ! We went to some outlets & regular stores to take advantage of the sales. We spent less than $75 total and purchased 10 dresses, 15 shirt/pant outfits, 3 shirts, 2 capris, a beach hat , swimsuit and cover-up for Gabby to wear next spring/summer ( all were either 6-9M or 12M). We know that people tend to buy mostly size 0-3 or 3-6 month clothing to give at a shower so we wanted to stock up. Plus, for the prices, we really couldn't go wrong ! At the Carters outlet, I got 8 of those dresses and a pair of the capris for ~$3 ! (clearance + 40% off all clearance sale + 2- $10 off coupons) I think DH now has a new appreciation for how I bargain shop

My mom ordered the stroller I love... it was 20%off plus an extra $25 off if you used a Master card! DH doesn't get it... he says "It's a stroller... it's not the baby." haha...
I also got mini donuts at a carnival this weekend! YUM!
We spent a great day at the beach yesterday complete with a yummy watermelon virgin dacquiri. Then, we came home and cooked out on the grill. SOOOO excited for summer!
We went to Newport Beach this weekend and had a blast walking along the beach and Balboa Island. And, eating tons of seafood all weekend! So looking forward to our CA coast road trip in less than 2 weeks!
DH and I just bought our first house and moved into it 2 weeks ago. This weekend we planted a veggie garden in our backyard, grilled out and made our first major baby purchase- it was great!
getting some time with my DH actually being home from work! He suggested a BRU trip (we just browsed), he wanted to see "what all this baby stuff is" so he'd know what I was talking about- lol! Then we spent the day clearing out the junk room and moving in the stuff for the nursery- looks so much better without all the clutter! DH even hung the curtains I made and got my art on the walls
Re: Highlight of your weekend?
DH and I got a couples massage for his birthday. It was so relaxing, and I'm ready to book my next one
