Okay - I'm ready

Well, I am definitely beyond my due date.  And I want this little boy to get the hint and move on out!  If he doesn't come before Wednesday (my next doc appointment), I'll be induced - which I have been trying to avoid.  I don't want pitocin, I don't want an epidural... none of it.  I want a totally drug free birth (I tend to have pretty severe side effects to most drugs and would like to avoid the possibility of it).  So now I'm trying to come to terms with the fact that I may end up with all of it.

I've been reading the birth stories and was happy to read a few successful induction stories... but I still want this baby boy to decide to be a (very late!) May baby, not a June (induced) baby!  I've tried all of the OWTs (minus the castor oil... just can't bring myself to do that), plus tried labor-inducing acupuncture and nothing helped.  So now I'm just back to hoping.  Being VERY frustrated... and hoping.

Boy #2, born 8/27/2014

Currently... Pregnant with mo/di BOY TWINS!  Due September 15.  Latest induction will be 37w.

    Sad I'm sorry.. I can't imagine being 41 weeks. I'm not even at my due date and I waved my white flag already. Stay strong and know that the light at the end of the tunnel will come Wed.

    Ugh!  I totally feel your pain, I'll be 41 wks in a day & my ob appoints tomorrow, in which he said if she hadn't come by then, then he would schedule to have me induced.  I'm really not looking forward to it at all & like you planned to go totally natural & drug free, so I've been trying to make myself come to terms with it & remember to be flexible, but it's hard & it's def very frustrating.  I'm def not giving up hope though, there's still time to go into labor naturally before the actual induction & there's still one whole day left in May.  Good luck & I hope all goes well for you & your baby boy :)

    Inductions are generally successful if you're going in with a "favorable" cervix (you've begun to efface and dilate on your own.)

    Check out the natural birth board. There are ladies that were induced and still managed to stay Epi free.
