Sorry I've been MIA, ladies. While trying to fix a problem with a few light poles in my development, the geniuses at the electric company dug up the wrong lines, and damaged them in the process. So our lovely cable company has to ORDER new lines, and half my development is SOL with TV and internet until it's fixed. And I have a stone-age phone that I can only get on facebook with.
So, if someone would like to take this over until it's fixed, that would be great. I'm getting a wireless signal from somebody on the other side of the development, and literally only get it in one spot in the house....blah

How old is Baby?: 8 weeks today, 2 months on June 4th
Name: Liam Eliot Pennington
Date of birth: 4/4/2011
Weight: at birth 5 lbs, 5 oz. At his last appointment (one month), 7 lbs, 13 oz. His next appointment is 6/10.
Height: 23 inches at his one month appointment.
Breast or Bottle?: Breast.
Clothes Size: Newborn or 0-3 but we're almost ready for size 1 diapers. (We haven't transitioned to cloth yet).
New Milestones: Lots of cooing and smiling and talking to orange things--the sun in The Very Hungry Caterpillar, my water bottle, all sorts of orange stuff.
Milestones you think LO is close to: None that I know of. His attention span is getting LONG. We read all of his board books 2-3 times today, sang songs, filed his nails. All kinds of stuff during "quiet alert" time.
Sleeping (long stretches, STTN etc): Completely random but only up one or two times at night now.
Favorite activity/toy: Reading and singing songs.
Best part about being a mom? Knowing I don't have to be like my parents.
This week we: Went to an open mic, and Jared emceed. Liam either slept or listened to music through the whole thing. At the end when everyone was dancing, I put him in a sling and danced him to sleep.

Date of birth: 4/14
Weight: At birth, 9 lbs 5 oz. Not sure now - she hasn't been weighed since 3 weeks. I'm guessing close to 11 lbs.
Height: 21.5 in at 3 weeks.
Breast or Bottle?: Bottle
Clothes Size: 3 mo
New Milestones: She rolled from tummy to back last night! Also, she's doing a lot more cooing and making funny faces.
Milestones you think LO is close to: She's getting the hang of holding her head up pretty well. I think she'll have good head control in the next couple of weeks.
Sleeping (long stretches, STTN etc): 2 five hour stretches at night
Favorite activity/toy: She loves the toys that hang from her swing

This week we: are going to a Mommy/Baby Pilates class in the park.

Date of birth: 4/27
Weight: now about 8lb and some ounces, at birth 6#7oz
Height: was 19.75" at birth, 20.5 at 2w

Clothes Size: she's outgrown most of her newborn stuff (the cloth diapers help with that) so she's in 0-3mos
New Milestones: She started smiling about a week ago, I captured a smile today! Also, she rolled over yesterday from back to front. It was totally unexpected! I got a picture as she was trying to get back onto her back, but missed the part where she was on her belly.
Milestones you think LO is close to: no idea
Sleeping (long stretches, STTN etc): generally sleeping 4ish hours at a stretch at night, wakes up once or twice except during growth spurts. Of course, now that I said that, she'll probably be up wanting to eat all night...
Favorite activity/toy: eating, being held, smiling, and spitting up on people.
Best part about being a mom? The love.
This week we: got newborn/family pictures done by a friend. I can hardly wait to see them!!!

New Milestones: He's finally starting to focus in on DH and I, he's much more aware of his surrounding and can follow our movements for short periods of time
Milestones you think LO is close to: Smiling, he starts to, but it's not quite there yet
Sleeping (long stretches, STTN etc): One 5-6 hour stretch followed by a 3-4 hour stretch
Favorite activity/toy: He likes to lay on his back and have his legs bicycled
Best part about being a mom? Knowing I made him, his smell, his warmth, knowing that he likes my cuddles better than anyone elses
This week we: have a pedi appt. and will be receiving his first vaccine, eeeh!

Weight: he was 10 lbs (ok, 9 lbs 15.5 ounces) at his appointment last Tuesday

New Milestones: more frequent laughing, he's great at supporting himself on his legs

Sleeping (long stretches, STTN etc): nothing great, one 3-5 hour stretch when he goes down at night but after that 2 hours is the most we can expect
Favorite activity/toy: babbling to us while sitting in his boppy or on his changing table
Best part about being a mom? watching him smile at me, seeing how happy my husband is being a daddy
This week we: will be seeing grandpa for a pit stop before he goes to Joplin for the National Guard, taking his first plane ride to Florida to see grandma and then spending the week down there with his other set of grandparents and aunt and uncle. He also gets to meet his great-grandpa for the first time. It's going to be a busy week for Sam!

Weight: According to my scale experiment the other day, he's 12lbs!!!
Height: He was 21in at his 1 month check-up
Breast or Bottle?: Boob, with an occasional bottle

New Milestones: He's STTN, but not consistently
Milestones you think LO is close to: Hopefully STTN all the time... also, I'm pretty sure he could sit up in a Bumbo for a bit, if we had one
Sleeping (long stretches, STTN etc): When he STTN, he'll go from 10 or 11 to 5 or 6... if not, he'll go 11-3 or 4, and then go back down until 6 or 7
Favorite activity/toy: Lately he's started to notice the toy bar on his swing. He stares at it for HOURS
Best part about being a mom? Watching him light up when he notices things. And those smiles! Oh my goodness, they melt my heart!
This week we: Well, over the long weekend, we went shopping with my dad's fiance on Saturday. Then on Sunday we spent the day with my SD. As for the rest of the week, we don't really have anything planned except a WIC appointment on Thursday.

Best part about being a mom? Feeling the bond grow between me and LO grow daily... when she grabs my hand while she's breastfeeding and holds tight... seeing my DH look at us with so love in his eyes...
This week we: Finally got rid of the c-section infection and no longer have pain! We are now getting out for a dog walk every day and are getting much better sleeps most nights.

Best part about being a mom? spending so much time with him, being the only one that can calm him down.
This week we: went to the mall yesterday and it was so nice to get out! And his half sister will be spending the next month with us starting this weekend:)
