A list of random questions, mainly abt CDs:

I"m not enough of a regular on there plus it's slow, or else I'd post on the CD board but...

1. What are these TT's that are all the rage on the CD board? (I know satreece or pixy could answer this; I also know they're expensive; I also know I have no intention of buying them--just curious.)

2. Anyone use Grovia Hybrids? They're having a summer sale starting tomorrow and methinks this might be a good option for us. Do you use them for daily use or just on outings?

3. B is outgrowing some PidPods and the BG AIOs we have will be shot soon enough. Recommend a great AIO or AI2?

4.  I thought I had other questions...now I forgot.

    2.  I don't.

    3.  BG Elementals, or Bottombumpers.  Two WAHM brands of AI2 that I'd recommend are Doodle Dypes, or BeBe Britches.

I am really liking the GroVia AIOs.  I thought I wouldn't.  But I do.  They have sales a lot on their site.  Recently I got a free shell when I bought 2 AIOs.  The time before that I bought 1 AIO and got a free wet bag.  You should friend them on FB.

I have been wondering about the hybrid part too.

I should add.  The shipping on their site, where the deals they post on FB have to be bought from is totally reasonable.  I was worried about that.  But for 1 aio it was like 2.30ish and for the 2 it was like 4ish.

  • Well... Pixy answered the question about TTs.  I had to ask that question myself about a month ago.  I think they're just all the rage right now.  Haven't tried em.

I've never used the Grovia hybrids.  I had a few shells because I thought I might go the hybrid route for traveling last summer... but never did and ended up selling them.  I think they're really well made.  They are made by the natural baby co which used to make dream-eze diapers and those are some of my favorites - maybe more so than BG.  At least tied w/ BG.  Their diapers are incredibly absorbent.  All organic cotton.  The aios and fitteds are awesome, but a little harder to come by now that they've been discontinued.  So I've purchased some Grovia aios and I love them.  Haven't actually put them on a baby, yet, but they look wonderful.  I really love one size diapers (though I tried them on the baby, and even at 13 lbs, it was still too big... soon enough, I'm sure).  And I'm always a little hesitant about snap diapers AND side-snapping diapers for that matter - but these are SO well made.  I get a perfect fit and no leaks.

Anyway... that was way more than you wanted to know, huh?

I got a Bebe Britches a few weeks ago... I had to purchase it the second she stocked.  It was crazy.  The diapers were sold out in like 37 seconds or something. It cost $27 incl shipping.  It's cute-ish.  My favorite groovy guitars print, suede cloth inner, I think and an OBV snap-in soaker.  The outer is not knit, which seems weird to me, because I'm so used to diapers being knit on the outside.  I haven't taken it out of the package.  I'm not sure I'm going to keep it.  So I can't really review it as to its usefulness, but I know the CD board girls LOVE them.

    So there ya go!

  • It hurts my heart that satreece has a bish and hasn't used it.

    I love mine.

That's the other one you guys are always talking about! (I've been lurking a few days...) Pixy, did you get whatever it was you were stalking? I almost offered to stalk for someone since I was just sitting around in bed all day but thought that would probably be weird. Oh, and how does Bebe Britches = bish?

satreece--I have a Grovia AIO; it's currently MIA, though. I liked it but didn't think it was super absorbent. Maybe just needed a few more washes. Really trim and really well-made, like you said.

  • I did!  :)  I had a small army stalking for me, and one of them scored!

Yes, BeBe Britches = Bish.  Doodle Dypes = DD... which sometimes can get confusing.

ETA: I never answered your question.  I don't know, that's just what they've been called since I've known them.

  • Bliss clued me into TTs and B4s [BubuBebe] because I needed a diaper with a higher rise, but couldn't simply size up because the leg openings on the next size diapers are too big.

We use fitteds and wool about 90% of the time, and sometimes a few AI2s just because I got some to try when O was a few weeks old and we used them for overnight early on before we found the wonderfulness that is hemp.

If anyone knows of any other more affordable or easier to find fitteds with a higher rise, let me know! Kiddo has a long torso, apparently..  18 pounds and 28 inches are his current stats. His legs are finally chunking up a little bit, so that makes things a little easier now, but still no rolls. :(! :p

    This, exactly.

And people on the CD board are generally very courteous and helpful, whether or not you are a regular.

Thanks :) I didn't mean to imply that the CD board ladies aren't helpful; just like any board, you have to hit it at the right time :)

I didn't think that's what you meant, I just didn't want you to feel weird posting questions there, too! I'm all for sharing the fluff love! :)

Awww, I remember her!  So happy that she's found success with the diapers.  She is so sweet :)
