He has everything rideable imaginable for outside. He has train stuff galore but he barely plays with it anymore. He has lots of Lego duplos which he barely plays with anymore- maybe he's ready for the little legos? But with an 18 month old I don't want them around.
He loves all things technology. Do I get him a DS? He already plays my computer, iphone and leapster explorer. We also have a wii, which we really don't play. I don't want him spending anymore time then he already does.
He likes transformers so I will get him one or 2 of those.
It's weird he isn't super into any of his toys right now. He mainly wants to play outside, help me garden, cook or clean or help his dad with projects, play with playdough, but not so much play with toys anymore.
So what do I get him?
Oh and he's already going to a couple camps this summer, and I think we'll be getting season passes to our local amusement park, and we have memberships to our local kids museums and zoo. So GC's to that type of thing won't work.
Re: What did/will you get your 4 year old DS for his bday? Or what is your 4 year old into?
DS - December 2006
DD - December 2008
Sam loves the real legos and he is great at working with them. You could do a set that he can only play with while the baby is away from him, maybe? I have no idea how to handle Sam's "big kid" toys when baby number two one gets to the point of picking stuff up and trying to eat it, so not much help there.
The other huge hit from his birthday is a matchbox track set. He loves the cars (already had some) and launching them.
No he is asking for lots of things. A tennis racket and balls, a pogo stick, chuggington trains, trains from the zoo...
The problem is that there are few children in our family so everyone wants to know what to get them so I have to think of what he says he wants, and what he will actually use....
