Congrats on the BFP again! Can you explain your hcg injects for extra support to me? I'm intrigued. I havent heard of it before. I have a LP defect :(

Thank you!  It's basically some extra support during the luteal phase since I have LPD also.  THe theory is that injecting hcg will fool your body into thinking it's already pregnant, which will then stimulate progesterone production.  It's the same concept as progesterone suppositories to support the luteal phase.  The reason my RE likes the injections better than suppositories or oral progesterone is because injections aren't as messy, and it's easier to measure your body's response by testing progesterone blood levels.  Apparently suppositories keep the progesterone just concentrated at the uterus, so it's hard to measure in the blood.

I did a Novarel trigger, which I think was 10,000 IU of hcg.  Then I did 3 lower dose injections every 3 days.  I believe each injection was 1000 IU, also of Novarel.
