Sorry for the late post but I haven't had internet access in awhile.
So... I was scheduled to be induced at 3am (crazy time) the morning of May 5th. I started laboring on my own at midnight. Went in a little early and they monitored my contractions and said they weren't regular and I still had to be induced. Was given pitocin at 3am got my epideral at 8:30am because my contractions were on top of each other and I couldn't take it. It was great once it worked correctly. i was always more numb on one side. Dr broke my water at 9am. The rest of the day was uneventful. I dilated to 8cm by 4pm and then all hell broke loose! I started having terrible back labor and could feel all my contraction but managed to stay numb from my crotch to my toes. Very strange! So Jack was face up and they tried to put me into different positions to turn him which never worked only caused me more discomfort. Finally started pushing at 5pm and couldn't get the hang of it because I couldn't feel the urge.I ended up with a fever and infection that affected Jack and his heart rate started to go up. After 2 hrs of pushing she basically said if I don't get him out in the next 15 minutes she will call the dr for a c-section. I someone had a huge adrenaline rush and Jack Ryan was born at 7:19pm and weighed 7lbs 14oz. He was 21.5 inches long. We are so in love and I've already forgot all about the pain. Now it's all about sleep deprivation! Here he is!
Ok I will have to post a pic later!
