January 2012 Moms

Ugh... psyching myself out.

I have felt GREAT today... and I am so worried about it.

I have no reason to believe anything is wrong... but why do I feel good?! I'm not out of the 1st trimester yet! DH has done a really good job of keeping me reassured, and he's so positive... but I totally psych myself out.

I don't know why I do this to myself.  I can't wait for our U/S on Tuesday.

What about you? Have you psyched yourself out about things this pregnancy?

  • Yes, I have done the same thing. To make myself feel better, I took another preg test today just to make sure it was still positive! We're silly, but we gotta do what we gotta do! Hope your u/s puts your mind at ease!

When my morning sickness first started I would totally freak out on days that I felt ok. I'd wish and hope for ms the next day to make me "feel better". Now if I ever have a good day I thank God and hope it's over. Nope. Always comes back. Nooo!

  • I'm not trying to brag, but out of my 3 preg, I have never had M/S... so not feeling bad doesn't always mean something.

However, I AM an avid TP-checker, and out of habit still did it the year I wasn't pregnant. lol!

  • My mom and sister never had m/s with any of their pregnancies, so I'm trying to not focus on that symptom.. I only get nauseated on car rides. However, I do have super bloat, frequent urination, fatigue and really sore nipples! Oh and hungry all the time. I am thankful for no m/s at this point! Like a pp said, I'm an avid tp checker, Just in case. RELAX and enjoy your good days!!
  • I also have days without symptoms.  Because I don't have m/s (neither did my mom), I don't even have that as a reassurance.  I'm a TP checker too, and I just have to keep reminding myself that no bad news is still good news.  I have at least 1 cramp a day still, and on good days I relish that cramp as proof that everything is on schedule.  Enjoy the good days because I know on my bad symptom days I just want it to all go away (or I wish I was allowed to take ibeprophen >.<; ).

  • This is definitely a daily battle for me, but I just have to reassure myself that feeling great is a good thing! Stay strong:) I have my u/s on Wed and am pretty anxious for it to get here too. G/L!:)

  • Oh I totally understand! My first doctor's appointment doesn't happen for a few more weeks and any day I go without pregnancy symptoms, I freak out. On good days, I pray for m/s just to reaffirm that everything is okay.

  • plenty of women start feeling more like themselves again around 8 or 9 weeks.  Enjoy it!  Looks like 8 weeks wasn't the trick for me, I'm hoping for 9 weeks.  I can't make it through this m/s through july!
