When are you installing car seat?

probably at 37 weeks, but my husband is a fire fighter /medic so we don't need to go to the station or anything to have it checked. he can do it from home.

Husband will do it sometime while we are at the hospital. He has had lots of practice

I will install the bases around 37 weeks probably. Earlier if I think it will be a nuisance to wait if I'm feeling too big and crappy.

Maybe I am weird but I am SO excited to do this! Just seeing the car seat in the car ready to go for baby is just so exciting

I would say Mid-July... (I am due at the end of August) I don't want to install it too early and jinx myself... :-)

with ds we didn't get it installed until about 38 weeks i think... but we were also in the middle of moving so it was kind of in the way until then.

this time around i'll probably install it around 37 weeks give or take...

Not sure -- on hospitalized bedrest now. Still debating on if we even have the right carseats for us. If these twins are on the smaller end, which is what the case has been, we need to return our Graco SnugRides 35 and their bases, and go with either the SnugRide 32 or the Chicco KeyFit (babies can be as small as 4lbs for those).

Taking it day-by-day for now. They will most likely spend some time in the NICU, so I think we have some time, even with me in the hospital. Both sets of parents (mine and DH's) have stepped up to do whatever we need. (Returns from our shower, getting the needed stuff, washing baby stuff, setting up the nursery, etc.)

I'm a little superstitious with installing the carseat, dumb as it sounds. I don't want it installed until I'm fullterm (or very close)...we live pretty close to an inspection location or my neighbor who's a cop & trained in installation/inspection can help DH.
