Babies on the Brain

Learned something new...

Male dogs have nipples. Like men.  Tiny ones. Gonzo has them. I thought they were just little moles, but then I realized taht they were evenly spaced and on both sides. We'd only ever had female dogs before, so I guess I'd never thought about it.

What's something that you've learned recently?

  • black soldier fly larvae secrete a chemical that repels other species of flies! They're practically perfect in every way!

  • I could have had a V8

  • OMG that's hysterical Caff!  Mainly because I'm now trying to picture a human male without nipples to figure out why you thought male dogs wouldn't have them.  ::giggles::

I can't think of anything new I've learned recently.  Oh, I learned yesterday that generic bobbins are complete and total CRAP, even when they say they'll work with your machine.  Liars.

YesYes OMG yes! I can usually only get one or two uses out of them before one side splits completely off.

Um... IDK what I've learned lately, probably because I already forgot.

oooh, I just learned I'm illiterate because I had to read this 5 times to figure out why Leslie was buying generic boobies and what machine she was manhandling them with.

  • I recently read that cats aren't bothered by heat until it hits 112 degrees but I am still not sure I buy that.

I have learned that my actual, physical tolerance for a messy house has increased with my morning sickness, but that the mess still makes me feel down and badly about myself. I want so badly to clean but I just feel like crap.

     Agreed.

I have an old as shiit sewing machine, it works like a dream, but I can't find a single bobbin for it, I only has one of it's original now. The best ones I can find are unusually expensive, so I've been using the cheapo plastic ones, I hate them.

I'd have to disaree with that. When we were moving a few years ago, I held my cat outside while we moved stuff in. I gave him water to drink, but he was still panting pretty hard and I'd never seen him pant before. I don't think it had hit triple digits yet, but it definitely wasn't 112 out. Maybe its because he's an inside cat, but I doubt it.

Are your originals the metal bobbins? I have some from my original machine (my mom's old Kenmore) that don't work right in my newer Singer. Want?

FB me your address and I'll drop them in the mail.

I *justnow* learned something else - I don't look nearly as thin IRL as I do in my head (not that I really think I'm all that thin even in my head). My SIL just tagged me in a pic from last Thursday on FB. Holy Whoa. I also really need a tan. Like STAT.

  • Well, it's not something that I just learned, but it was only a couple of years ago. I had no idea what S.W.A.K. was, and asked my Mom and sister if it was a new texting acronym. My grandpa overheard, and said that it is Sealed with a Kiss, and gave me a total DUH look. I got schooled!
