My thumb is numb

The entire first digit of my right thumb is numb after straightening my friends hair last night. I guess pushing on the straightener in that way for so long did it? It's been numb for over 12 hours though, and it's just as numb as it was.

Weird, right?

    Sounds like you aggravated something in there. I used to have that happen when I worked inventory, but it was from the pressure of a box cutter.

    How long were you working on her hair? Also, you are a good friend - I can't stand doing my own hair, let alone someone elses, for more than 5 minutes or so.

    I had a lot of weird numbness issues while pregnant- idk if it was circulation being compromised or if it was in my head or what?

    I also had the freakiest thing- occular migraines- omg. i would go partially blind in one eye and then lose feeling in my hands- I thought I was having a stroke!! the dr. said the occular migraines were causing me to panic (true- I would hyperventillate) and then as a result of the panic- I had the numbness- it was seriously the freakiest thing ever.

    the occular migraines still haunt me- like- it was kind of like when you look into a camera flash and you see the flash for awhile- except theres no camera flash,and the vision loss is a little bigger- but like...you can see the spot..or see around it? omg.
