AW - Baby gear given to us

We are so lucky! DH's old boss had us over the other day and we left with our car entirely full of her used baby gear.

- Madela breast pump & all accessories (will double disinfect)

- Graco pack n play

- Baby Bjorn

- Maman Kangouroo baby carrier

- Crib mattress

- Graco electric swing

- Infant car seat and base (will check to make sure it still meets regulations)

- Baby bath

- Tons of bottles, bibs and boy clothes

Everything is in excellent condition.  She was just as happy to get rid of it as we were to receive it!

    FYI- I haven't gotten a pump yet, but I heard that you really shouldn't double-use any kind of pump other than hospital grade ones because those have closed systems.  Anything you can buy in a store is an open system, and even if disinfecting there can be cross contamination or bacteria.  I think someone recommended buying replacement tubes and then you can reuse the pump? Look into that.

    Thanks! The card is in the mail and we also made a donation to the local children's hospital in honor of her family (their son had some health issues at birth).

    Ya I'm going to do some more research on the pump for sure.  I didn't want to turn it down, but I certainly don't want to put me/the baby at risk for anything.

    Especially with Medela pumps just the tubing needs replacing, which is quite easy with them. Congrats on your score!!!! And way to go on the donation!

    same thing happened with us!  my coworker is desperately looking for a weight bench, and current in-home gym is what will be the baby's room.  so he got a weight bench with preacher curl and leg extension attachments with 300 lbs of plates and the bar.  we got a matching crib and dresser, glider with ottoman, bedding set (that i'm not a huge fan of, but it'll work as a back up), a bouncer, a high chair and exersaucer.  yay!!!  taking all these bigger items off our registry just makes it more of a possibility that our registry will get bought up!
