It is so dry and itchy, I am totally at a loss as to what to do.
I've done the T-Gel, the shampoo for psoriasis (Sp), and two special treatments that my hair stylist gave me. It has not cleared up at all and its to the point that it almost hurts.

heat up enough equal parts honey and coconut oil to make 1/3 cup. massage it into your scalp, put a shower cap over it and either sit in the shower to heat it or just wrap a towel over it to keep your body heat in. Any time my scalp starts to get dry I do this and it helps tremendously. Also make sure you're staying hydrated and getting enough good fats & oils to keep your skin healthy.
I'm sorry though, I know it sucks super bad in the meantime.
When I got my extensions in I had to switch shampoo/conditioners and started using Pureology. My scalp issues weren't as bad as what you're describing, but it did help tremendously. Are you a hair product junkie? I've also been avoiding anything with sulfate in it and like I said, I've noticed a big difference.
I don't have anything that has sulfate in it and the only products I use besides shampoo/conditioner is a leave in-conditioner and a flat-iron spray (but that is really just on the ends)

i was totally going to suggest it. It works really well. I loved it and it really repaired my itchy, flakey scalp and it feels awesome when you put it on. I found applying it (i just wrote applicating--turns out that's not a word, lol) to be kind of hard, though. I have a shiit-ton of hair and so I would have to put the dropper through the hair in various spots straight onto my scalp. Worth the hassle though.

Have you tried Aveda Scalp Remedy?
