Emerson Hospital

Has anyone recently delivered or anyone planning to deliver at Emerson Hospital in Concord? I just found out I am pregnant and am thinking about delivering at Emerson.  Looking for any feedback-positive or negative...

Also, any recommendations for an OB who delivers there?

    I'll be delivering at Emerson in July.  I've had quite a few friends and family deliver there and have only heard positive things.  We actually live closer to another hospital, but I decided on Emerson because of everyone's feedback. 

    I've been seeing the drs at concord obgyn.  The office is located across the st from emerson. They have been wonderful.  I like that they are a group practice so I know one of them will be there the day I deliver.

     I recently took my childbirth class and got a tour of the birthing center. It's fairly new and attractive.  The nurses I've met through classes have been amazing and all seem to have worked there for years.

     So far I've been very pleased. :)

    I'll be delivering at Emerson in December. Like PP I am actually closer to other hospitals, but loved the birthing center at Emerson. Although, I am partial because I was born there :) I see Kramer OB GYN and they are located in a building within the hospital.

    I delivered at Emerson and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The nurses and supposrt staff are wonderful and the rooms are so comfortable and private, they are more like hotel rooms than hospital rooms. I go to Concord OB and all the doctors there are great.

    I'm also considering delivering at Emerson and I have an appointment with Dr. Balcomb... does anyone have experience with her or her practice? I'd decided on the hospital earlier, due to the good reviews, but am probably moving to Andover and am not sure whether I should re-evaluate and go with Winchester (because it's slightly closer)....

    Hi, I delivered at Emerson and had a wonderful experience! The Nurses are excellent and the birthing and postpartum rooms are very nice. I highly recommend also the Dr.'s at Concord Ob/Gyn! GL

    I delivered there in December. The hospital is beautiful and the nurses were wonderful. Even the food wasn't terrible. I went to Concord ObGyn for the duration of my pregnancy (loved Dr. Bond) but I ended up being delivered by Dr. Balcomb (it was right before Xmas and she was on that night... I was induced and knew ahead of time that that was going to be the case.) If anyone has specific questions, feel free to PM me!! (I almost never check this board.)
