The inlaws are here visiting and they watched Gabriella last night so DH and I could go out to dinner. It was the first time in the last two and half weeks that we've been out of the house together without her.
It was so nice to get dressed up and actually put heels and makeup on. Then we get to the restaurant and the first thing I see is the same Chicco car seat that we have and a little girl in it crying at the table with her parents. Talk about an immediate guilt trip!
Oh well, it was still nice to get out for a couple of hours.
Re: First dinner date night out since baby.
That happened to us too! We went out to celebrate our first year anniversary when she was 3 weeks and so we dropped her off at the sitter's house and then went to the restaurant and we get seated next to a couple with a baby the same age as Eliza. It was torture! I just wanted to go grab my baby. Hell, I wanted to grab THEIR baby.
I'm glad you were able to get out for a couple of hours. Its nice to get dressed up now.

It was torture!
It is so nice to get dressed up now. And forget wearing a necklace or putting on perfume these days! I learned not to wear a necklace the other day the hard way. Heck, now I'm even understanding why some people get "mom haircuts" when they have a baby. If I had a dollar for every time Gabriella pulled my hair!
Just like your post below, it's the little things...LOL - I got my mom haircut this time around. Bye-bye long locks! But i have to admit it works great!
Awww..nice!
We haven't been out the two of us since Reese has been born. Well except to the pediatrician's office...lol! Some day soon.
My mom haircut is having it be long enough to put in a pony tail. I cut my hair at the beginning of my pregnancy because I was so sick of dealing with curly, tangled, weighed down, locks. The lady ended up butchering it and left me with almost no hair. I seriously had a granny cut! I will never get it cut that short again! Medium length is the way to go for me
