I haven't been to any weddings lately, especially ones where there were small children. We're going to an outdoor wedding next weekend in San Diego, CA (San Marcos, actually). It's at a gardens venue, with cocktail hour, then dinner. DD has been invited, and the bride (DH's cousin) has even set up a highchair for her at the dinner. We have to take DD because we are 2000 miles away from family/friends or have friends that are not the babysitting type, so we have no babysitter. In fact, MIL and SIL are flying in to go to this wedding.
Is it appropriate to bring a stroller (small umbrella stroller) to the ceremony/reception, or should we just all take turns carrying her around? The ceremony starts at 4, so I imagine the reception will start somewhere around 6, and we don't plan on staying long because of DD. I know this sounds stupid, but I've never seen babies at any of the
weddings I've been to, and I'm really not looking forward to carrying DD
the whole time. I'm just wondering if it's tacky to bring a stroller to a wedding...TIA!
Re: Stroller at a wedding? WDYT?
We brought a stroller to the last wedding we went to. It was at night and we had to put her to sleep somewhere. She slept at it next to our table and nobody minded.
If they know you are bringing your DD then I'd say its alright.
It's not black tie, but not casual by any means. It's a pretty nice venue actually, gardens with a gazebo type of place. That's why I am wondering if it's tacky.

I think so too.
Also, OP, have you seen pictures of the venue? Do you know how baby-friendly the area is? I'd look into that as well as asking the bride. While she may be okay with you having a stroller, you might not want to have one (even a small one) if there are tons of stairs etc. KWIM? It might be hard to get around. Do you have any kind of carrier that might be easier for you?
I've seen strollers at weddings, no big deal, I would just want to make it as easy as possible for myself getting around.
