How long after the procedure did you see a wet diaper?

Was it harder to determine a wet diaper, as in didn't pee much or just wet the gauze?

Right away they had wet diapers. The diapers actually got pretty wet (more than just the gauze), and newborns should have at least 6-8 wet diapers a day. HTH!

Iam pretty sure it was either late the same day or early the next day it was about the same amount of pee .

Pretty much right away...but our little guy didn't have any gauze. We could tell it was wet and not just the Vaseline b/c the pampers strip went from yellow to blue/green

within a few hours. DS peed right before the proceudre.

they didn't put gauze on it, you can tell pee in a diaper...it's squishy

DS barely peed a few times during the first 24 hours and he screamed whenever he did. I think the gauze soaked a lot of it up. As soon as we took the gauze off the next day, he peed a lot. He was circumcised on day 2, we took the gauze off on day 3.

We had a ard time telling pee from Vaseline. Even our nurse did. But I believe it was within a few hours.

Try pulling a part the frontof the diaper after you change him. Lo was circumcised day 1 and had no problem peeing that day.. the next day when we got home was different. He went 12 hours without peeing or pooping twice scared hubby and I, but pediatrician and LC said it was fine.

We had our DS circumcised on Day 2. It was probably about an hour later that he had his first wet diaper. Hard to tell because I was still so tired!

We had them right away. We didn't have gauze in the diaper.

It was a long time before he pee'd. Not until the gauze came off (8 hours later? Or maybe it was 5 hours) I was a little worried but they told us as long as he pee'd within 8 hours it was ok.
