XP: Crib Mattress

Does anyone give credit to the toxic gas mattress theory? Are you buying an organic cotton mattress if so?

I am buying a cheap crib but want to be smart about the mattress. Any thoughts?

    Well I'm not sure about the toxic gas mattress theory- but I did want a quality mattress and hoped to find organic.

    I went with the Sealy Soybean Foam Core Mattress. This mattress has really great reviews, is super light, and is also recommended in the baby bargains book- I actually scored it on Amazon for $90 (just keep an eye on the price if you are interested in getting it there- I noticed that they price was fluctuating based on the time of day).
