One that you use regularly? DH and I are considering getting one and I have no clue what features are most important. I also am completely new to the idea of juicing...I just know that I've got to get some veggies into Chelsea! She doesn't eat anything that I could hide them in, but she would drink juice.
Also...is juicing my own fruits/veggies going to be the same as basically giving her the Fruitables? Because our pedi didn't want us giving her those anymore.
Re: XP: Anyone have a juicer?
Juicing gets the vitamins, sugar and water out of veggies but leaves out the most important thing- FIBER.
I would suggest instead grate some apples and carrots (and we sometimes add beet or zuchinni) and try a little of that. That way they are easier to chew since the food is shredded and the apple makes it juicy and sweet.
You can look on amazon for juicers and read their reviews to find a good one.
I agree. Although some people feel that the vitamins/good stuff is more easily absorbed by your body when you drink (fresh) juice.
DH makes fresh juice everyday. We have the JuiceMan Jr. It's definitely not top of the line, but we've used it daily for 4 years with no problems.
Another great way to get your fruits and veggies along with the fiber is to make smoothies. We're big fans of green smoothies made with spinach, orange, banana, strawberries and pineapple.
