2nd time Moms with a LO 2.5 or older...

Are you planning on getting a double stroller of some sort? Why or why not? What model are you leaning towards?

DD will be almost 3 when the baby arrives, and doesn't use her stoller a whole lot as it is now. Usually she'll either hold my hand or I'll put her in the cart if we're shopping. Most of me thinks that it's silly to invest in a double stroller with DD being that old, but then the other part of me thinks that it'll help me out not to have to push the baby in a stoller and hold DD's hand wherever we go. We do like to take walks, so that's my main reason for thinking I should look into some form of double stroller.

Actually, when DS#2 was born DS#1 was just 2 years old. I got the Graco Quattro Duo stroller (zurich model) and it was the best purchase ever! It was the only way I could get out of the house by myself. I'm a sahm. Baby seat went in the back, and DS sat in the front.

I still have it and plan on using it when DS#3 is born. Although DS#2 is not much for sitting in strollers anymore, he'll still ask to sit every once and a while when we're out. So does DS#1 and he's four right now (5 in Sept.).

I thought about getting rid of it and getting a single stroller, but I figured it's good to keep the double cause I know if we go to the zoo or some place that requires a lot of walking, they'll get tired and want to sit for a minute. : )

DS will be three when #2 gets here. I don't plan on buying a double stroller. He doesn't use the stroller much now, so I'm going to see how we fair with either the infant stroller and holding hands or the Baby Bjorn and regular stroller.

I have 3, expecting #4, - mine are 6, 5, and 3. I've never had a double and I don't intend to get one this time. I actually got rid of my single big stroller over a year ago because I just didn't like the hassle. I very seldom use a stroller at all. I figure this baby will be born just in time for winter so we won't be outside much and when spring rolls around the baby will be big enough for an umbrella stroller. We used umbrella strollers when we went to Disney and I'm a mean mom and make my kids walk most of the time! My goal everyday is to wear my kids out! I "wore" my kids most of the time as babies and for me, it was better to invest in a nice carrier (I use an ergo and I love it) rather than a stroller but I suppose it depends on your lifestyle.

DD will be 4 a month after the baby is born. We don't use a stroller often with her, but we do have some travel planned and she tends to need a place to sit a lot more on vacation vs. at home. We decided on a Joovy Ultralight... it's not huge so it wouldn't be out of the question to just use it for the baby to snap the car seat into even if DD isn't along with us. I saw one in person and fell in love.. it's lightweight, accommodates the car seat, has a massive sunshield and folds up easily and quickly. It's not as long as a school bus like most strollers, either!

DD will be 2.5 when baby #2 is born. I don't plan on getting a double. We don't use our stroller that often as it is, and if I go somewhere where we would use it DH is usually with me so he can push the second stroller. If I am alone and need to use the stroller, I'll have baby #2 in the Moby most likely.

We'll see how that works out...if I feel the need to get a double down the line, then I'll look into it.

DD will be 2 1/2 when this LO comes. I bought a sit and stand stroller Baby Trend brand from Target. It was on sale a few weeks ago. I hope it works out OK for us. I didn't want a bulky double stroller.

I bought one at a Mom 2 Mom sale. My DD will be just over 2 1/2 and I bought one because one I don't want to hold a hand and push, and 2 at this age they still can run off in a store and I am not chasing her down in the mall or the zoo or anywhere else. As they do like to walk on their own at this age they do get tired quickly too. Its harder to push a stroller and hold one in your arms. So those are my reasons. I don't know what brand it is as I haven't really looked at it since we bought it. It is a front and back style though no side by side for me.

We do a lot of trips to the zoo and traveling so we will be getting a double stroller. I think based on recommendations,we will get the baby jogger city select. it can be either a single or double.

Not getting one. I will be sad not to be able to run with my BOB and the kids though. Maybe I can run with the baby and DS can ride a little bike by that time?

DS will be 3.5 when DD arrives and I bought a britax b-ready. DS loves the jump seat in the back already! We go for walks longer than he has the energy for, and I would like him to have the option to ride if he wants to.

We're not planning on it. By the time it's nice enough to go outside with 2 DS will be nearly 3.5 so I don't think it would be worth it. If he does need the stroller I'll wear the baby and push him.

We're not planning on it. I honestly can't remember the last time DD rode in her stroller, and I have a Baby Bjorn for DD2. I reserve the right to change my mind later on though. Big Smile

DS will be exactly 2.5 when this one is born, and we're torn on the double stroller. I'm thinking we'll still want one for trips, the zoo, etc. I might peruse CL for a gently-used sit n stand, but still undecided.

I think we will get a Sit and Stand, I really don't want a big bulky stroller and I will rarely use it since I work full time (so just on weekends)

DD will be four when this LO comes and we haven't used her stroller regularly for months, so I definitely don't plan on getting one. Even if she were a year or so younger, I don't think we would get enough use out of a double stroller to make purchasing one worthwhile. I do hope to get a jogging stroller for this one, though - always wanted one with DD (as much for the all-terrain aspect as the exercise) but I never ended up getting one.

My twins will be almost 3 when baby C arrives and I am not purchasing a triple stroller. they rarely stay in their stroller these days and if we were somewhere with a lot of people, DH would most likely be with me to push one of the strollers.
