Last night DH and I busted out the doppler before bed, and couldn't find the HB. (DH was tired and starting to get crabby so I gave up after a few min when the doppler made a squealy noise and DH complained it was giving him a headache).
I tried again first thing this morning, found it within seconds of starting, nice and strong at 160 bpm. I think LO was hiding from daddy! Lol.
Here's a question for you ladies, it is almost impossible for me to find LO laying in bed, I have to be "slouched" on the couch and I can find it right away. I have a doppler check with my OB on Tuesday (made appt before I ordered my doppler). I want to be sure he hears what I hear, (and that I'm not imagining it). should I tell him that I usually have a hard time finding it laying down to see if he looks for it while I'm sitting up, or is it easier for him since he knows where to look?
They have equip for a "quickie" ultrasound and did promise that if he can't find the hb he will give me another "sneak peak" so I don't stress, should I bring this up or just wait and see what happens?
Thanks for your opinions!
Re: LO is shy...
I would watch to see what he does in the office and then try to replicate it at home! As long as you're finding it- that's great!
I had a strange dream last night that I was at my parents house trying to use a doppler (I don't have one) and I kept telling everyone to be quiet to I could hear it and they wouldn't! Then I was electrocuted by the doppler...maybe I shouldn't get one! lol
I'd mention it. No harm in saying something, and anything that can ease your mind is worth bringing up, IMO. Glad you were able to find it (if it was 160, I'd say you definitely found it!)
